Ada Mae Phillips

Ada Mae Phillips, 82, went to be with our Heavenly Father at 12:04 am, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born in Muncie, Indiana on December 22, 1930, the daughter of the late Arthur Franklin and Ada Price (Fletcher) Russell.
Ada worked for CVS as a cashier for 20 years. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Alton and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ladies Auxiliary #254. She enjoyed her life and her early retirement, reading and being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by two sons, Ed and his wife Judy Phillips of Arizona, Charles Phillips and his fiancé Cathy Mers of Alton; one daughter, Michelle Windmiller and (Chip Mohr) of Godfrey; seven grandchildren, Alex Phillips and Stephen Phillips; Charles Phillips, Amanda Phillips, Logan Phillips; Russell and his wife Kasha Windmiller, Justin Windmiller and two great grandchildren; Miles and Audrey, and extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Oasis Women’s Center in Alton.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey are in charge of arrangements.
