Everett Wayne Paulk, 86, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family
He was born July 20, 1926, in Garber, Okla., to the late William Edward and Effie Mae (Herndon) Paulk.
On Feb. 14, 1989, he and Ruby (Fentress) Bienemann were married in St. Louis. She survives in East Alton.
The World War II U.S. Navy veteran retired as a Railroad Switch Foreman from Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis after 40 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosewood Heights.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Marvin Wayne Paulk of Louisiana; a daughter, Danna Evans of England, three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Alan Hunt of Kansas City, Mo., Judy and Russ Budzileni of Edwardsville, Ill., and Barbara Sommers and Phillip Ungaro of Paonia, Colo.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Denzel Mathews of Ardmore, Okla. and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Paulk.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Paynic Home for Funerals with the Rev. Brian Crippen officiating. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
