Jeffrey Craig Hartson, 62, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Alton on December 21, 1951, he was the son of Herbert Jr. and Mary Frances (Purcell) Harston.
A graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School and SIU-Edwardsville, he served in the U.S. Air Force before working for the Winchester Division of the Olin Corporation.
He is survived by his sister, Valerie B. (Kyle) Doherty of Bethalto; niece and nphew, Mindy Stephens of Houston, TX and Nick Stephens of Avon, IN.
Private services will be held.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
