Antoinette Margaret Darr, 94, died at 6:57 am Sunday December 14, 2014. Born May 5, 1920 in Alton, Il, she was the daughter of Dominic and Anna (Azzarello) Campagna. Antoinette was a homemaker and mother to five children and a founding member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. On May 11, 1946 she married Bert Darr in Alton. He preceded her in death Novemebr, 3, 2013. Surviving are two daughters; Ann Kathleen Williams(Charles), and Martha Louise Darr both of Alton, three sons; Stephen Allen Darr(David Purtle) of Savannah GA, Matthew William Darr(Shelly) of Alton, and Brian David Darr of Arlington, VT, and two sisters; Josephine Clyde of Brighton, and Ann Wittman of Godfrey, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband and two grandchildren; Elizabeth Darr and Abigail Darr, four brothers; Tony, Joseph, August, and Vincent Campagna. Memorial Visitation will be from 4pm until 7pm Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am Thursday December 18, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
