Clarence Dugan

Clarence Dugan passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 94. 

He was born on July 06, 1920 to Harry and Dora Dugan, weighing only 1 ½ pounds.  Having worked hard on farms through the great depression era of the 1930s during his teen years, young Clarence answered the nations call to arms in World War 2 serving in the Pacific theater with distinction being awarded the Bronze Star and earning the Combat Infantry Badge as well as other awards and ribbons. Returning from war, Clarence found employment at Laclede Steel where he worked until he retired in 1979.  He loved and married Ms. Edley Pierce in 1958 until her passing in 1982.  He again found love and marriage with Ms. Charlotte Faccin in 1983 until her passing in 1994. 

He was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph and Clifford as well as his sister Dorothy. 

He is survived by loved ones, Jeff & Tambre Miller, Michael & Beverly Miller, Richard & Louise Moore Justin & Aaron Miller, Jason Miller, Amy Landuyt, Ryan Moore, as well as many other friends and family members. 

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.

Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery, at a later date.  

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey is in charge of arrangements.
