Thomas G. Crain, 65, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born July 5, 1949 in Alton, he was the son of Mary Louise (Demetrulias) Crain of Godfrey and the late William V. Crain Sr. He worked for Leonard’s Wine and Cheese Import Company in Chicago. Along with his mother, Thomas is survived by two brothers, William V. Crain Jr. (Ronda) of Godfrey, and Charles Crain (Jeffrey Ward) of Snoqualmie, WA. Also surviving are two nieces, Heather Decker (Eric) of Godfrey and their children, Lauryn Nicole and Brayden Decker, and Joy N. Virgin (Todd) of Livermore, CA and their children, Olivia and Ethan as well as extended Demetrulias family members. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael Crain. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be made to BJC Hospice.
