Edna L. Hensley, 103, passed away at 8:39 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.
She was born in Alton, IL on October 6, 1911, the daughter of the late John and Maude (Wood) Rhoades.
She married James Hensley on January 9, 1932 in Alton. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry (Ronald) Cowan of Godfrey; one special niece, Carol Bricker of Bunker Hill; along with great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bertha Froebel; and three brothers, Herbert, Edward and Walter Rhoades.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to Rosewood Care Center of Alton.
