Clara Edna Willmore, 75, of Moro, IL, died at 11:16 p.m. Fri. Oct. 24, 2014 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.
She was born Aug. 27, 1939 in Winfield, MO to the late Thomas Rhea & & Mattie Mae (Thompson) Johnson Sr.
On March 10, 1962, she and Thomas Lee Willmore were married in Brighton, IL. He preceded her in death on Apr. 8, 1987.
Mrs. Willmore had worked at Gasens Drugstore. She had been a member of the Bethalto American Legion and was very proud to serve as a Democratic Precinct Judge for many years. She was also an avid Cardinal’s fan and loved animals, especially her cats.
Survivors include: son Mark & Kelly Willmore of Edwardsville, IL, daughter, Tawnja “Leanne” & Jeffrey Copeland of Moro, step-son, Ronald Lee & Janice Willmore of Lincoln, IL, step-daughter, Joyce Ann & Eddie Autery of Lerna, IL, and a beloved granddaughter, Hannah Willmore of Edwardsville, IL.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Thomas Rhea Johnson Jr. & Floyd William Johnson and 7 sisters, Mae Pauline Wood, Mable Blackmore, Mildred Plumb, Annie Marie & Bettie Lois Johnson, Dorotha Nell Johnson & Ruth Ellen Johnson and numerous very special nieces, nephews & cousins, whom she loved dearly.
Memorial visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m. Sun. Nov. 2, 2014 at Paynic Home for Funerals.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Anthony’s Hospice, Hitz Memorial Home or 5A’s.
