Claudia Mae Dunlap, 76, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Alton Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

  Born May 20, 1938 in Fort Madison, Iowa, she was a daughter of Ennis Sisson and Mildred (Lyttaker) Eden. 

  Claudia worked as a housekeeper for the West Virginia Capital Building for several years, and at the governor’s request, was the only one to clean his office.

  She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Mark) Agney of Mississippi; 3 sons, Billie, Roger and Terry Beavers, all of Dow; 11 grandchildren; 6 grandchildren; and siblings, Terry Sisson, Mike Eden, Ronnie Eden, and Sylvia McMichael, all of Alabama, and Frank Sisson of Galesburg, Ill.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rhonda Hoffman; two husbands; and two brothers.

  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27.

  Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

  Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the American Heart Association..
