Vera E. Brimer, 76, of Roxana, passed away at 4:45 am Wednesday, October 22, 2014.
She was born on November 13, 1937 in Palmyra, IL, the daughter of Helen Martha (Thorpe) Andrews and Ivan Roscoe Enos.
She married Gale L. Brimer on February 14, 1981 in Bethalto. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2007.
She was a dental assistant for Dr. John Klockenkemper from 1967 to 1996. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, her booth at the Farmer’s Market in Edwardsville and was a very good painter.
She is survived by her beloved dog, Josie Ann and her children and their spouses, Cynthia and Kevin Doak of East Alton, Dana and Diana Foster of Moro and Julie and Mark Calvanese of Bethalto; her stepchildren and their spouses, Debby and Danny Garrett of Brighton, Mike and Susan Brimer of St. James, MO, Sherry and Steven Cooper of East Alton, Kelly Brimer of Moro, and fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey (Travis) Burdick, Nicole (Todd) Broyles, Eric (Jamie) Doak, Rachel Doak, Michael Smith, Jesse and Jacob Sitze, Christopher Garrett, Brandi Brimer, Jared Brimer, Lindsey (Kyle) Starks, Kharissa Guss, Austin and Chase Brimer; several great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 27, 2014 with Pastor Frank Sparks officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
