Randy W. Null, 59, passed away at 12:10 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 with his family by his side under the care of BJC Hospice.
He was born May 26, 1955 in Wood River, IL, the son of Welman “Willie” and Dena (Bain) Null.
He married the late Debbie Patton on June 8, 1985 in Alton, Illinois. She preceded him in death.
Randy worked for the Village of Bethalto Public Works Department for twenty five years, before retiring in 2013. Spending time with his family and friends was a big part of his life. He also loved spending time at his cabin in Palmyra, Illinois where he fished, hunted and ran his dogs. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan.
In addition to his mom, Dena Null of Bethalto he is survived by a brother, Jim (Beth) Null; a sister, Brenda (Kyle) Bolen all of Bethalto; a niece, Tammy DelBrocco of Fort Meyers, FL; three nephews, Joey (Sarah) Petrokovich of Wood River, Brandon Null and Shane (Jenna) Petrokovich all of Bethalto; five great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Halee, Daniel, Shane and Hunter; a girlfriend of fifteen years, Robin Powell and her two children, Ashley and Cody Powell of Bethalto.
He was preceded in death by his father, his wife and a brother, Skip Null
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday, October 3, 2014 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Visitation will continue from 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto with Pastor Terry McKinzie officiating.
Burial will follow at Moro Presbyterian Cemetery in Moro.
Memorials may be given to the National Cancer Association or National Rifle Association.
