Ada Lucille Weller, 87, passed away at 5:20 pm Sunday August 31, 2014 at her home.
She was born on August 7, 1927 in Eldred, IL the daughter of the late Crit & Minnie (Rathgebes) Shaw.
She married Gerry Weller on July 3, 1974 in Hawaii. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2000.
Ada was a receptionist for United Methodist Village and she loved cats.
She is survived by a son, D.L. Strahan of Honolulu, Hawaii; a stepson, Robert Weller of Hawaii; a stepdaughter, Penny Howard of Kentucky; brother, Arthur Shaw of Alton; a sister, Meda Miller of Bethalto; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Gloria Boston and Stan and Marilyn Cisler all of Bethalto..
In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Shaw and Lawrence Shaw and two sisters, Mary Kloess and Freda McCartney.
Visitation will be from 10 until services at 11 am Friday, September 5, 2014 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral in Bethalto.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
