Cheryl Ann Smith, 67, passed away 5:20 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Friendship Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born in Alton on February 15, 1947, she was the daughter of James A. and Dorothy J. (Shattuck) Smith.

She had been a C.N.A. and enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and spoiling her great nieces and nephews.

She is survived by a sister, Sandy Meintzer of Bethalto.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, James Allen Smith.

Private services and burial will be in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
