Harold M. Duvall, 91, formerly of Edwardsville, passed away at 10 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Alton Rehab & Nursing.
Born Sept. 3, 1922 in Foster Township, he was a son of John M. and Esther Dorothy (Hoekstra) Duvall.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he worked as a registered nurse for various hospitals and private practices, mainly in
Surviving are 3 sisters, Dorothy Bertoletti of Alton, Florence (Bob) Brandt of Bryan, Ohio, and Velma (Augie) Schmidt of Wood River; a brother, John A. (Joyce) Duvall of Foster Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Esther Walkington; and two brothers, Alva and Reinder Duvall.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where Pastor Steve Disney will officiate services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery, with military honors.
Memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church of Edwardsville, BJC Hospice, or the charity of one’s choice.
