Vickey Lynn (Wallace) Bennett, 60, passed away June 18, 2014 at her residence in Alton. Vickey was born September 2, 1953 in Carrolton, IL to Clyde “Tex” and Marcella “Mickey” Wallace. She is survived by her son Craig Hansen and granddaughter Ella Hansen both of Chantilly, VA, her father, Tex Wallace (Betsy) of Alton, two sisters, Valerie Shea of Fieldon and Vaunda Richardson (Terry) of Jerseyville, a brother, Vernon Wallace (Tracey) of Jerseyville, her nieces and nephews, a great niece and nephew, step-sisters and a step-brother. She was preceded in death by her mother Mickey (Lyles) Wallace, her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. At her request, her body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Her immediate family will have a private celebration of life. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
