Anna Mae Bunge Hall, 90, of Hillsboro, IL, died at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care, Hillsboro, IL on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 12:05 am. She was born December 20, 1923, in DuQuoin, IL to James Isaac Purcell & Esther Mae (Pugh) Purcell. She was a former restaurant owner is Springfield and a nurses aide at Francis Hospital in Litchfield. Anna was also a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House where she won the Grandmother of the Year Award. She also won a Presidential Award for the number of volunteer house. Anna was a member of the VFW Post 4547 of Gillespie Ladies Auxiliary, Joy Class and Rebeccah.
She is survived by her spouse, Robert Hall, five children, Dorothy June Goodrick (Dwight C.) of Bunker Hill, IL, James P. Bunge (Mary Jo) of Gillespie, IL, Melody Ann Affeldt (Ritchie) of Holland, MI, Ginger Lynn Fey (Butch) of Staunton, IL, Ellen Russell (Gary) of Springfield, IL,20 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren and sister, Dorothy Daffron of Du Quoin, IL.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Virgil E. Bunge, Son, Virgil Bunge, & Great Great Granddaughter, Evelynn Grace Santel.
Private family services will be held.
