Elizabeth Ann “Bea” Bacus, 50, died at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital. She was born February 17, 1964 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Richard and Melinda (Murray) Dixon. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Alton Moose Club. She was an avid Gardner and loved her pets. On September 14, 1985 in Alton she married John Bacus and he survives. Also surviving are two sons; John Bacus of Alton and Joe Bacus of St. Louis, MO. One brother; John Dixon (Heather) of Blue Springs, MO, and their children; Molly, Betsy, and Emily. One sister; Melissa Boyle (Jim) of Alton, IL and their son Michael Boyle. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday with Father John Luong, OMV to officiate at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
