Oenna Jean Hayworth, 82, died at 12:44 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Godfrey. Born January 31, 1932 in Sevier, Utah, she was the daughter of Clarence Eugene and Grace Armelia (Spencer) Tanner. She was a Temple worker in the St. Louis Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participated in three missions, one to Las Vegas and two to Mesa, AZ. In 1998 she retired as administrative assistant for the U.S. Government at Yucca Mountain after 28 years of service. For the last six years she was a greeter for Walmart. On February 1, 1952 she married Emery Joseph Brooks in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death. She married Joseph Ross Hayworth on December 18, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter, Diane Anderson (Tim) of Godfrey, three sons, Jody Brooks of Seattle, WA, Rick Brooks (Geri) of Houston, TX, and Steven Brooks (Dawn Lyn) of Houston, TX, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, one brother, Clyde Tanner (Karen) of Grantsville, UT, and two sisters, Kitty Bridges of Tooele, UT, and Pat Zorak of Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by a sister, Veda Simonich, and two brothers-in-law, Rex Bridges and Zip Zorak. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Godfrey. Bishop Dave Hargiss will officiate. Burial will be in Nevada. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
