Harold Greer

Harold Jerome Greer age 58 departed this life on Monday March 17, 2014 at Alton Nursing and Rehabilitation.  He was the son of Stella Greer of Alton and the late James Greer Sr.  He attended Alton Public School and worked various jobs.  Harold married the former Donna Saulters on September 28, 1991. (she survives).  Having no children of his own he was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews.  He enjoyed sharing time with them including walking them to the store and park, always with a loving smile.  In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two brothers, Gregory and Ronald Greer, six sisters Barbara Mitchell and Nancy (Twan) Chapman, Valerie and Stacey Greer, Brenda (Danny) Slack and Betty Ann Carter, many close friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother James “Jeep” Greer Jr.
Visitation Friday March 21, 2014 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
