Regina K. “Candy” Kutter—Wood River

  Regina K. “Candy” Kutter, 64, passed away at 4:14 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

  Born Jan. 18, 1950 Alton, she was a daughter of Norman L. “Shorty” and Patricia (DeWerff) Clark.

  She married Fred A. Kutter on March 16, 1968 in Alton.  He survives.

  She had previously owned Regina K’s Pizza, and was a huge Elvis Presley fan.  She spent many of her years taking loving care of family members and friends.

  In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Starla Kutter and her fiancé Brad Wallace of Cottage Hills; two sons, Allen L. Kutter of Wood River and Doug Kutter and his fiancé Amanda Saragusa of Bethalto; 9 grandchildren, Allen Kutter, Jr., Morgan Kutter, Curt Kutter, Kelsey Kutter, Blake Bettorf, Shelby Bettorf, and Devin, Anthony and Dakota Saragusa; and a sister, Vickie Unterbrink of Moro.

  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul Baker and Freddy Clark.

  Visitation will be Friday, March 21 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 4 until services begin at 7 p.m.  Reverend Royce Roy will officiate.

  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.

  Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
