Izaac S. Thaxton, 17, passed away 1:45 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital.Born in Wood River, he was the son of Eustacia (Honnen) Thaxton of Arkansas and Brian Thaxton of East Alton.He was a student at East Alton-Wood River High School.In addition to his parents, Izaac is survived by two brothers, Philip Fairchild and Adam Thaxton; a sister, Korissa Courtney; and four nieces.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the 1st United Methodist Church in East Alton, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday. Rev. Bill Pyatt will officiate.Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Alton.Memorials are being accepted by the family for expenses.Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
