Raymond “Buddy” Chambers, 55, died at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Robings Manor in Brighton. Born November 28, 1958 in Alton, he was the son of Raymond and Katherine (McFarland) Chambers. Buddy was loved by family and many friends. He brought much joy to everyone. He is survived by six sisters, Joeanna Campion (Bob) of Godfrey, Elizabeth Kelly (Howard) of Rockbridge, IL, Judy Gerson of Fieldon, IL, Ida Pike (Dale) of Worden, Carol Powell of Brighton, and Mary Wilton (Jim) of Medora, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Frieda Chambers. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor Edward Weston will officiate.
