Debra Kay Rickman—Godfrey
Debra Kay Rickman, 48, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at home.
Born Oct. 31, 1965 in Alton, she was the daughter of John and Rosemary (Twitty) Rickman.
She worked as supervisor of the asbestos department of Simmons-Cooper Law Firm for 5 years. She was heavily involved in both the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Diabetes Assoc. She also enjoyed organizing benefits for sick children, and organized group meetings with paranormal investigators to discuss hauntings..
Survivors include two sons, Zachary Mitchell and Chris Mitchell, both of Alton; a daughter, Amanda Mitchell of Watertown, N.Y.; and her brother, Dwayne Rickman of Godfrey.
No services are scheduled, according to her wishes, but a celebration will be held at a later date.
