Jonell Nickless, 81, passed away 10:20 pm Saturday December 28, 2013 at her daughter’s home with her family by her side.
She was born on August 20, 1932 in Dexter, Mo the daughter of James Harley & Nellie Pauline (Metcalf) Brown.
She married Clifford Leon Nickless in May 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2000.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother and always made sure that everyone had enough food.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Sharry & Alan Shook of Rosewood Heights, Farsha & Conley Wahl of Alton, Pamela Swan of Alton, and Laura & Charlie Kimbro of Cottage Hills, eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Roy & Christy File, Lisa & Michael Paslay, Connie & Shawn Waggoner, Jim & Jessica Wahl, Kelly & Jason Holman, Brittany Wahl, Cody Palermo and his fiancée Erica Reno, Noah Swan, Hillory, Seth Kimbro and Alexis; 14 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
She went to meet her parents, husband and sisters in heaven and is dancing with the Angels; Vivian and her husband Bub, Patsy, and Carolyn.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of funeral services at 12 pm Tuesday January 31, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto
Burial will follow at Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills
