Alice McClintock—Bethalto

  Alice P. McClintock, 83, formerly of East Alton, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Bethalto Care Center.

  Born July 4, 1930 in Wood River, she was a daughter of Charles and Lola (Smith) Barnes.

  Alice worked as a secretary for Owens-Illinois Glass, and later as a clerk in the Wood River Township Assessor’s office.

  She married Richard I. McClintock Jan. 20, 1951 in Wood River.  He passed away March 17, 2004.

  Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Donna and Steve Brown of Rosewood Heights, Mary and John Hatcher of South Roxana, and Pamela and Art Asadorian of Granite City; a son and his wife, Richard and Vickie McClintock of Rosewood Heights; 8 grandchildren, Megan Malloy, Molly and Colin McClintock, Andrew Asadorian, Jason, Miranda and Tara Hatcher, and Dillon Brown; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Don (Mary Ann) Barnes of Wood River.

  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, John, Gene, Dick and Art Barnes; 3 sisters, Kate Keller, Addie Sauls, and Stella Carnes; and a close cousin, Glen Crockett.

  Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  Cremation will follow.

  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
