Catherine Garrett

Catherine Louise Garrett, 90 departed this life Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her home at 3:45 p.m. with her family by her side.Catherine was born October 20, 1922 to the union of the late William and Ethel (Waters) Corbin in Jacksonville, Illinois.She attended Jacksonville public schools.  Ms. Garrett was employed for Olin Incorporated retiring in the early 90’s after 20 years of service. She enjoyed working, sewing, crocheting, and the company of friends and family.Left to cherish fond memories: 2 daughters, Joyce K. and Carolyn; a son, James A.(Cornelia); 3 grandchildren, Jocelyn, Elisa, and Justin; 4 great children, Jaleel Fane, Niyauna Fane, Alexis Barham, and Lance Barham; 3 special friends, Faye Barham, Vera Gray, and Joan Edwards; and a host of nieces and nephews.Visitation will convene Saturday from 10 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Harrison Funeral Chapel.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  Guest signatures and condolences can be registered at www.harrisonfuneralchapel.com
