Judith K. Funk, 75, passed away at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Alton, IL on June 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Gerald Richard and Elizabeth (Watson) Dalton.
She married Donald L. Funk on January 4, 1958 in Alton.
Judith was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School for many years and enjoyed crafts and flower arranging.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Joan Funk of Godfrey, Trish (Pat) Simpson of Piasa; two sons, Donald Funk and Diane Marie Carter of Godfrey, Michael (Lisa) Funk of Alton; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Redman of Godfrey; and one brother, Ron (Ginger) Dalton of Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Beth Fleming; and a brother, Friar Jerry Dalton.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with Father Jim Walther, OMV, as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
