Thomas M. Gill, 93, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Blu-Fountain Manor. Born May 6, 1920 in Graham, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ora “Orie” and Bessie Lee (Kyle) Gill. Mr. Gill served in the U.S. Army as a Mess Sergeant and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He retired as a melder from Laclede Steel in 1976 after 30 years of service. He married Helen Gill. She preceded him in death. He later married the former Roberta Jean “Jeanne” Adams on August 26, 2000 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Town & County, MO. She survives. Also surviving are three children, Dennis D. Gill of Alton, Kathy Taylor (Frank) of Nortonville, KY, and Tracey K. Johnson (Mark) of Surprise, AZ, five grandchildren, Kyle Campbell of Utah and his daughter, Emily, Julie Harris (Ben) of Indiana and their son, Romney, Mallory Aimes (Jeff) of Utah and their daughter, Addison, Hannah Johnson of Arizona, and Emma Johnson of Arizona, and a sister, Alice Howard (Wayne) of Brighton. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edmond Gill, Earl Glenn Gill, and Elmo Gill. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and continue from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013. Bishop Dave Hargiss will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
