Margaret G. Fessler, 67, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville. Born February 19, 1946 in Alton, she was the daughter of James Martin and Dellia Abagil (Beckerdite) Bilbruck. She was a member of the New Song Fellowship Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Wedge Bank in Alton for 17 years. In February 1991 she married Thomas Allen Fessler in Wood River. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kimberly A. Hyman (Cliff) of Brighton and Melinda l. Fessler of Brighton, two sons, Timothy A. Fessler of Alton and Michael S. French (Stacie) of Chandler, AZ, six grandchildren, Lauren Palozzola (Michael), Kala French, Matt Hyman, Meghan Fessler, Zach Fessler, and Josh French, and two sisters, Frances Nelson (Richard) of Wood River, Nilene Strader of Godfrey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Kay French and brother-in-law, Bobby Strader. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Dennis Hill will officiate.
