Lloyd Albert “Junior” Reynolds, 80, passed away at 1:30 am on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.
He was born on November 11, 1931 in Kane, Illinois, the son of Lloyd and Lenora (Marshall) Reynolds Sr.
He married Nancy Nicolet. He later married Naida (Rhine) Irvin. She passed away in March 1998.
Lloyd served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a machinist at the Olin Corporation in East Alton until his retirement. He enjoyed making model airplanes out of balsa wood and was a member of the Cottage Hills VFW.
He is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Darryl Wayne Reynolds of Godfrey, Kevin and Doreen Scherff of Whittier, CA, Dennis and Suzanne Scherff of Bethalto and Keith and Laurie Scherff of Wood Ridge; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Reynolds, Janetta Scherff, Ryan Scherff, Stacy Trujillo, Amy Scherff, Kyle Scherff and Mackenzie Scherff; two great grandchildren, Julian and Jayden Trujillo; a brother, George Reynolds and his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Francis Winiford “Winny” Tungett and Ethel Skinner.
Visitation will be from 9 am until service at 11 am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto with military honors by Alton VFW Post 1308.
