Dolores J. Bohnenstiehl, 85, passed away at 8:25 pm Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
She was born June 12, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Vatter) Gibbs.
She married Norman J. Bohnenstiehl on May 16, 1948 in Collinsville. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1992.
Dolores was a waitress at the Village Café in Alton, Illinois for nearly 50 years. She was a member of the Holiday Shores Baptist Church and the Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed baking, traveling and most of all being with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Deborah Bohnenstiehl of Bethalto; two grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Kim Bohnenstiehl of Bethalto and Kory and Bethany Bohnenstiehl of Tooele, Utah; two great grandchildren, Karissa and Kinley Bohnenstiehl and a brother-in-law, Rodger Bohnenstiehl of Crete, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday, November 30, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Pat Heston officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Holiday Shores Baptist Church.
