Linda Herron

Linda J. Herron, 68, passed away at 1:40 am Monday, November 23, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton. She was born August 24, 1947 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur P. and Reba America (Edwards) Schelle.   She married Gary Herron in January 1969 in Alton.  He survives. She worked in the collections department at the Bank of Edwardsville for 17 years.  She enjoyed her Card Club, reading, quilting and her OLEOS Group.   In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Chad Edward and Brandy Herron; her grandchildren, Courtney and Gordon Herron; her in-laws, Peg Schelle, Dexter Sholar, Jim Westbrook, Guy Herron and Ruth Coon and numerous nieces and nephews.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Norma Sholar, Barbara and Leon Little, Nancy Westbrook and Arthur “Tom” Schelle.   Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday, November 27, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.A funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto with Father Tom Liebler officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association. Online condolences and guestbook may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
