Matthew A. Dodd, 40, passed away at 5:03 am on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born on June 21, 1975, in Alton, IL, the son the late Donald and Gloria (Kennedy) Dodd.
Matthew was an avid gamer and enjoyed watching movies. He was also a trivia expert and enjoyed watching game shows.
He is survived by three sisters and their spouses Mary Ann Godwin of Alton, Marie and Lester Schuetz of Cottage Hills, Mylinda and Robert Butler of Jerseyville; a nephew and his spouse Chad and Jamie Doellman; best friends Jason Kincade and Michael Sunderland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Mark Dodd, and Michael Dodd; and a brother in law Daniel Godwin.
Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 17, 2015, beginning at 11:00 am at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Alton.
