Russola J. Jacoby, 89, passed away 5:20 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Alton on May 22, 1926, she was the daughter of Russell B. and Isadora (Evans) French.
She had worked as a sales associate for several department stores including, Arlans, J.C. Penney Outlet, P.N. Hirsch, K-Mart and Wal-Mart.
She married Milford Harlan "Steve" Jacoby on December 14, 1945 in Wood River. He died October 2, 2007.
Surviving are her daughter, Rhea "Joyce" (Gary) Brawley of O'Fallon, MO; two grandchildren, Bryan (Amber) Brawley, Stacey (Mel) Mohn; three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Logan Brawley, Aubrey Mohn; sister, Virginia Kirkpatrick of Wood River; sisters-in-law, Frances Jacoby and Carol French; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and brother, David French.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
