Oscar J. Huber Sr., 90 of Brighton, died at 11:10 A.M. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at home.  He was born on February 10, 1925 in Brighton, Il. to the late Anthony & Anna M. (Mayerhofer) Huber.He was a retired welder for Owens-Illinois Glass Company and an Illinois National Guard veteran.Oscar married Jessie Belle (Farmer) on January 7, 1946.  She died January 7, 2002.Surviving are 7 daughters; Mary McMahan of East Alton, IL., Dorothy “Dee Dee” & Vernon Bricker of Brighton, Bonnie & Thomas Hutchinson of Alton, Il., Jessie Stewart and her companion Bill Fitzgibbons of Jerseyville, Il., Annie Homer and her companion Mike Creekpaum of E. Alton, Il., Janet Huber of Brighton, Frances & Troy Smith of Brighton,  6 sons; Oscar J. Huber Jr., of Brighton, Danny R. & Fran Huber of St. Louis, Mo., Wilbur Huber of Brighton, Terry Huber Sr. of E. Alton, Il., Teddy Sr. & Gina Huber of Brighton, William & Sandy Huber of Brighton, 30 Grandchildren,  59 Great Grandchildren & 3 Great Great GrandchildrenPreceded in death by his parents, 1 son; Anthony Huber, 1 grandson; Bryce Huber, 1 sister; Elizabeth Baker and 1 brother; Wilbur HuberVisitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in BrightonBurial will be at Brighton CemeteryMemorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
