Grace Christina Skief, age 11 of Bunker Hill, Illinois, died at 9:10 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 at her home in Bunker Hill. She was born on September 2, 2003 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Bret & Kim (Evans) Skief of Bethalto. Besides her parents Graces is survived by two brothers, James & Jeremiah Skief; grandmothers, Betty Skief of Gillespie, Illinois, Carol Robbins of Alton, Illinois; and step-grandfather, Larry Robbins, Sr. of Jonesville Virginia. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jim Skief and Edward Evans. Grace was a member of the Bethalto 4-H Club, Upwards Cheerleading in Bethalto, and the Bethalto Boys & Girls Club Soccer Program. A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Bethalto Christian Church Gymnasium. The funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the gymnasium. A private family burial will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Carpenter, Illinois. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Vision of Destiny or Five A’s Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
