William McNear

William D. McNear, 77 of Brighton, died at 7:49 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in his home.He was born in Alton, Illinois on February 27, 1938 to the late George W. & Vi (Richie) McNear.Bill married Jeannine A. (McAfee) McNear in Carrollton, Illinois on October 7, 1957.  She survives and lives in Brighton.  He retired from Owens-Illinois as a Journey Machinist after 30+ years of service.Memberships include the International Association of Machinist and Life Member of the Tri-County Rod & Gun Club.Survivors include 2 daughters and 1 son in law; Jana & Steve Moore of Brighton, Robin McNear of Brighton, 1 son and daughter in law; Mark & Rachael McNear of Camby, IN., 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, his "sweetie" great granddaughter Cheyann and 1 brother; Mike McNear of Jerseyville.Preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother; George McNear.The Alton Little Theater has been named as a memorial.Services will be held at a later date.Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
