Wanda A. Mushill, age 68, passed away at 10:05 am on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home.
She was born on May 24, 1946 in Edwardsville, daughter of the late Harry & Wanda (Snyder) Lawrence. She married Leo J. Mushill in Key West, FL on April 2, 1966.
Wanda was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto where she helped as a coordinator for RCIA for several years. She was the founder and past president of the Southern District of New Borns In Need. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, weaving, antique shopping, flower arranging and working on stain glass. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband Leo, three children and their spouses, Matthew & Susan Mushill of Wood River, Michael-John & Liz Mushill of Cottage Hills and Amanda Mushill of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Bailey and Riley; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry Cooper & Beth Lawrence of Monroe, NC; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Herman Lawrence.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Rosary service will be at 3:30 pm.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bethalto with Fr. Tom Liebler officiating.
Memorials may be given to the OLQP Food Pantry.
