Judith Karen (Volz) Myers, 75, of Bethalto, IL, died at 4:40 p.m. Thurs. May 21, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born Oct. 7, 1939 in Alton to the late Agnes Caroline and James Kenneth Volz
On May 12, 1962, she and Bill Rex Myers were married in Wood River, IL. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2008.
Judith retired from Bassett Law Offices as a paralegal after 43 years of service. She worked and showed horses with her family as well as being a fan of and supporting them in stock car racing. She also loved gardening. In her retirement she was an avid reader, and flower gardener and loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping shuttle them to their various events. She was also an active volunteer and past President of the Wood River Museum.
Survivors include: 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Steven & Diedra Myers of Bethalto and Jason & Kelly Myers of Lincoln, NE, 8 grandchildren, Kylee, Ty, Bryce, Alysa, Grace, Willy, Tommy & Tammy, 3 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Eric & Joshua and a sister, Marjorie Volz Markway of Slidell, LA.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tues. May 26, 2015 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wed. May 27, 2015. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Wood River Museum.
