Marjorie Alice Kocur, beloved mother and grandmother, 93, passed away May 18, 2015, at Blu Fountain Care Center in Godfrey, Illinois.

Born May 24, 1921, in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian (Stamm) Baldwin. She married the love of her life Stanley Kocur on August 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2001.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Janice Drew of North Easton, MA; Lauren and Jim Macintyre of Walloon Lake, MI and Jackie and Doug St. Peters of Godfrey, IL; a son-in-law Michael Kelly of Valparaiso, IN; a daughter-in-law Wiona Jeffery of Godfrey, IL; a sister-in-law and best friend Lottie Schuster of Munster, IN; 12 grandchildren: Laura St. Peters of Godfrey, IL ; Courtney St. Peters of Washington DC,; Megan St. Peters of Schaumburg, IL; Kerri-Ellen Kelly of Buffalo Grove, IL; Sean (Linda)Kelly of Yorba Linda, CA; Colleen(Chazz) Spangler of Hoffman Estates IL; Kevin (Nicole) Kelly of Chesterton, IN; Heather(Jim) McLaughlin of Wonder Lake, IL; Brian Drew of Woonsocket, RI; Laurie(Jon) Hubbard of Mansfield, MA; Lynne and Angie Kocur of Albuquerque, NM. Marjorie also had 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also numerous nieces and nephews whom she was very fond of.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  her step father Pearl Utterback; her brother Maurice Baldwin; her beloved husband Stanley Kocur; her daughter, Karyn Kelly, her son Richard Kocur, her son-in-law Dr. Frank Drew and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

Marjorie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, IL. She was also a member of the American Society of Travel Agents and also the Elk's Woman's Emblem Club. She also enjoyed volunteering for St. Anthony's Hospital. She will always be remembered for her love of all things purple and her many travels, especially Hawaii. Family was the most important thing in her life.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral at 12:00 PM, at St. Maria Goretti Church in Dyer, Indiana, with the Rev. Charles Niblick presiding.  She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband Stanley in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.  Arrangements will be made by Gent Funeral Home in Alton, Illinois.

In honor of Marjorie's life memorials may be made to Make a Wish Foundation of Missouri 13523 Barrett Parkway Dr. Ballwin, MO 63021
