Wilma Kathleen Bobbs, 88, died at 2:17 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in ST. Louis, MO. Born March 28, 1927 in Alton, she was the daughter of William and Theresa (Henschel) McKinney. Mrs. Bobbs worked for Sears in downtown Alton and was a grandparent volunteer with the Alton school system. She enjoyed quilting, fishing and gardening. She married Walter L. Bobbs. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1991. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Bruce (Michael) of East Alton, and Christine Chaikowsky (Jay) of Godfrey, five grandchildren, Allison Deist (Dan), Ashlee Pugh (Jeremy), Jeremy Chaikowsky, Jennifer Bussen (Shawn), and Beth Stevenson (Michael), eight great grandchildren, Ella, Katie and Ava Deist, Alainah Pugh, Ashton and Brenden Stevenson, and Christian and Adalyn Bussen. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Walker. Visitation will be from 12:30 until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor Troy Crain will officiate.
