Amanda “Mandie” Dawn (Woolsey) Gansz, a lifelong resident Jerseyville, IL, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 33.
Mandie is survived by her children, Isabelle, Emily and McGwire Gansz; her father, Robert Woolsey; brothers, Ben Woolsey and fiancé Denise Miller, and Ryan Woolsey; sister Sara Woolsey; nephew Nick Woolsey and his fiancé Trina Tucker; and nieces Samantha Woolsey, and fiancé Jason Devening, Abigail and Alexis Piazza; and great nephew Draken Woolsey. She is predeceased by her mother, Debbie Woolsey.
Mandie credits her mother and father for her passion for life and desire to help others. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, a graduate of CALC Tech, and hoped to become a counselor.
Mandie loved and cared for everyone around her, and was proud to be a second mom to all. She was light hearted and known to be goofy at times. She enjoyed playing games, camping, and watching movies with her beloved friends and family; her children most of all.
Mandie continued to express her passion and love through writing and arts. She was a talented poet and painter, and shared her joys with anyone who had the time to listen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with funeral service on Thursday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at the Alexander & Gubser Funeral Home, with Rev. Carl Hayes. Memorials to the Family in care of the Funeral Home. Burial Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
