Ira Sidney Campbell, 72, passed away at Eunice C. Smith Home on Friday, April 11, 2015 surrounded by family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Sid was born December 22, 1942 in Senath, Missouri, to Herschel and Ruth Campbell. He retired from Microfinish in St. Louis, MO. On July 20, 1979 in Alton he married Jean Sullivan and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Ozenkoski (Glen) of St. Louis, MO and Jennifer Williams (Ben) of Downers Grove, IL, five grandchildren; Bridget Lucas, Egbar Ozenkoski, Austin Williams, Ella Williams and Hannah Williams, two great grandchildren; Lexie Lucas and Chance Lucas, a sister, Thelma Tinker of El Monte, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Ruth Campbell, two sons; David Campbell and Sidney Lynn Campbell and two brothers, Eugene Campbell and Harold Campbell.
A private service will be held for the family and burial at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto on Monday, April 13, 2015.
