Kirk Williams

Kirk Douglas Williams, 55, died at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Born September 29, 1959 in Alton, he was the son of Betty Rae (Slender) Williams of Alton and the late Norman Kenneth Williams. He worked in environmental services for St. Anthony’s Hospital from 1990 until 2014. He formerly attended Cherry Street Baptist Church and Alton First Southern Baptist Church. His life was centered on caring for his mother and her needs and he loved his nieces and nephews. Along with his mother his is survived by three brothers, Billy Williams of Godfrey, Gary Williams of Alton, and Edward Williams Alton, two sisters, Norma Davison of Alton and Mary Williams of Alton, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers, Norman Kenneth Williams Jr., Jimmy Williams, and Randy Williams, and two sisters, Barbara and Peggy Williams. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2015.
