Esther L. Hardin, 52, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Alton on September 14, 1962, she was the daughter of Doris (Bennett) Torres of Alton and the late Jessie Frank Torres.
She had been on the housekeeping staff at the Holiday Inn.
On July 1, 200o in Wood River, she married Mark Hardin. He survives.
In addition to her mother and husband surviving are two daughters, Dede Vinyard of Hartford, Lanora Mott of South Roxana; step-son, Chris Hardin of Monroe City, AL; six grandchildren; five sisters, Lisa Lee of Wood River, Theresa Bunker, Mona Lawson and Sue Holt all of Alton, Mary Valenzuela of Granite City.
Preceding in death were her father; two brothers, Sylvester and Joseph Torres; and a sister, Virginia Skaggs.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
