The Alton YWCA has started its Child Enrichment Program Summer Camp, but there are still a few spots available to get your kid in on the fun.  This is the second year for the camp, which aims to teach the kids while having fun.  Among the activities offered are swimming, arts & crafts, games, outdoor play when it's not too hot, and field trips.

Executive Director Andrea Lamer says you may qualify for assistance through any one of a number of social service agencies.

Lamer comments

The camp runs through the first week of August and includes a one time registration fee of $25 and a monthly activity fee of $35.  The total cost is $25 per day, which is covered at least in part by many social service agencies.  It is a state licensed program.  For more information, call 465-7774.
