Officials in the City of Wood River are crossing their fingers with the hope that work on the Veterans Memorial wraps up before Sunday. Wood River Park and Recreation Director Jason Woody gave Mayor Fred Ufert and other City Council members an updated time line for the projects' completion at last night's meeting.

Woody says that the remaining work should be finished on Friday.
