The Spring Equinox is less than a month away and an Illinois historic site is gearing up to celebrate the event. Woodhenge will return to Cahokia Mounds again this year, giving visitors a look into how ancient civilizations viewed the equinox according to assistant site manager Bill Iseminger.

Iseminger Comments

The Spring Equinox is on March 20th but Iseminger says they typically invite people to visit the site at sunrise on the Sunday closest to the event so that more people can learn about the significance of the sun calendar.
