While it may not be a record number, hundreds of athletes from around the Riverbend and beyond are getting ready for the 31st annual Wood River Triathlon coming up next Saturday, August 13.  Starting at 7am, contestants will swim, bike, and run a course that runs through a residential section of town, beginning at the Wood River Aquatic Center.

The course will consist of 450 meters in the Olympic-sized pool, followed by 12 miles on bicycle and 4 miles of running.  The event ends up at the Roundhouse at Central Park.  Registration for this event wraps up Friday.  For more information call 251-3130.
