The Wood River Aquatic Center may be the city’s most popular attraction, but it’s far from the only thing the Park & Recreation Department oversees during the summer months. There are also the traditional activities that take place on baseball and softball diamonds, and Recreation Supervisor Jason Woody says they are as popular this year as ever.

He says adult leagues are also filling up, as are the various youth camps. A new driving range at Belk Park is nearly complete, with a new building and netting in place. Repairs on the slide at the Aquatic Center are needed, and Woody hopes to have that done by opening day on May 24.
